  • Keystone Aerial Surveys, Inc. is a leading airborne data acquisition company. We are currently seeking a full-time high level effective Project Manager at our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.

    As a Project Manager, the ideal candidate will work closely with clients and applicable Keystone departments to ensure high quality client deliverables. The Project manager will put quality assurance controls in place to ensure processing of all data is in accordance with the specifications of the project. Through effective written and verbal communication between the client and applicable team members of Keystone, the project manager will ensure expectations are met and product is delivered on schedule.

    Qualified applicants must:

    • Adhere to work hours of Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:45pm; flexible after normal hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays, if required - ability to travel overnight when needed
    • Hold a college degree in mapping, geology, GIS or related field
    • 2+ years’ previous project management experience in the profession
    • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to learn complex application software.
    • Possess effective team building communication skills, both verbal and written with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to problem solve to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Be able to demonstrate confidence, professionalism, high self-motivation, and possess solid decision-making abilities within an evolving diverse team atmosphere; maintaining a high tolerance for change.
    • Valid driver’s license required
    • Have a high-level knowledge base of Windows and Microsoft Office suite

    Preferred education/experience:

    • Experience with Map Info Professional, TrackAir, Global Mapper, ArcGIS or MapInfo is a plus
    • Possess or have the ability to obtain a passport

    Keystone Aerial Surveys, Inc specializes in providing quality aerial surveys. Keystone has flown millions of survey miles throughout the United States on projects with varied specifications. We have four locations; Philadelphia, PA (headquarters), Tyler, TX, Tuscon, AZ and Los Angeles, CA. The Flight Department has considerable experience collecting airborne imagery at high and low altitudes in several formats including digital, film and LiDAR. Keystone also collects and processes both Airborne GPS (ABGPS) and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) data. 

    Its history of success uniquely qualifies Keystone to fly large statewide, and multiple county projects in one season. Keystone is expert in the execution of projects in all types of terrain and weather conditions as well as in restricted airspace. Keystone has extensive experience in contract management of large, complicated projects where quality control and communication are paramount. On the Federal level, Keystone has worked for the USDA (NRI, WRP and NAIP, Forests), USGS, BLM, FEMA, Corp of Engineers and NOAA. 

    Keystone operates over twenty aircraft, 8 large format digital sensors and 3 LiDAR systems; employs flight crews consisting of pilots, camera operators, four full time licensed aircraft mechanics and a fully equipped and staffed photo lab and IT Department for extensive post processing support. Two of Keystone’s employees are ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrists. With this significant capability and over 50 years of aerial survey knowledge and the experience gained through managing and acquiring hundreds of large-scale digital projects for various clients throughout the United States, Keystone is uniquely positioned to acquire aerial imagery collection projects with various requirements while ensuring the timely delivery of the best possible product.
