    My client is a leading EDA tools and semiconductor IP provider in multiple domains for process and device development for advanced semiconductors, power IC, display and memory design. The company is headquartered in Silicon Valley and has a strong global presence with offices located in North America, Europe, Japan and Asia.

    The successful candidate is responsible for developing the Asia-Pacific region for their IP BU to meet the financial plan for the IP Group. This position reports to the VP & GM of the group. The right candidate will drive business development (identify, target and develop) IP opportunities and potential customers in the AP Region. Additionally, the candidate will own business models, pricing and packaging strategies, overall positioning and creation of internal and external collateral. This individual will work closely with the AP Sales Organization as well as the field organization, key customers and strategic partners to identify and drive strategic business opportunities. They will also participate in internal meetings related to AP Business as called by the VP of AP Region. Additionally, you will also be responsible for segment marketing and strategic business analysis of key market segments like Automotive, Industrial, Medical, Consumer, and IoT. The candidate will collaborate with the entire business unit to drive a cohesive strategy for these vertical applications.

    Director responsibilities include:

    • Collaborate with marketing leadership, general management and sales teams to coordinate new sales initiatives in the region.
    • Implement new processes and systems to build a world class business operation.
    • Lead our sales team in developing and deploying sales strategies.
    • Develop and execute Go-To-Market strategies and create strategic marketing plans
    • Generation of marketing requirements documents
    • Assist in creation of product roadmaps including TAM/SAM/SOM analysis
    • New product rollouts
    • Sales channel / FAE communication and training
    • Demand creation/promotional initiatives including Lead source management
    • Business development/customer meetings
    • Promotion of product lines through participation in industry events 
    • Analysis of vertical trends and required solutions through customer engagement and markets
    • Drive contract negotiations and Purchase Orders throughout the AP region.
    • Implement new processes and systems to build a world class business operation.
    • Full accountability to sales quotas and strategic objectives.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management.
    • Must be able work alongside dynamic individual team members as a day-to-day partner in moving the business forward, holding reports accountable for forecasts and other business objectives.

    DESIRABLE Qualifications

    • BS EE with 10+ years relevant experience. MS EE (preferred) with 7+ years relevant experience. MBA is a plus.
    • Mandarin and/or Korean, Japanese language fluency is a plus.
    • Semiconductor IP and proven product management experience is a Plus.
    • Mastery of the sales process, strong communication skills, and the ability to interact with engineering and management staff to the C Suite.
    • Strong sales aptitude and a passion for closing new business
    • Extensive experience in all aspects of leading a sales team
    • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
    • 30% to 40% travel and a willingness to work a flexible schedule required
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (including operations such as v-lookup, functions, pivot tables, etc.)
