    Duncan-Parnell, a leading distributor of Trimble positioning solutions, is seeking an outside sales representative for North and South Carolina to focus on the utilities industry.  This position is responsible for exploring and providing solutions and services to the utility markets in the Carolinas for mobile deployment, geospatial data collection and management.  These solutions will be focused on Trimble Water (water, wastewater), Trimble Energy (natural gas, electric, telecom) and Esri ecosystem integration.

    Essential Functions and Duties

    • Understand the “in-field” geospatial needs of utilities customers
    • Demonstrate the solutions (as mentioned above) to existing and new clients
    • Develop workflows, processes and implement these for the client
    • Sell and provide 1st tier technical support of these solutions to small and medium sized utilities
    • Research and promote the best geospatial solutions available based on the needs of these utilities


    • Ability to develop a plan for the territory and work the plan aggressively
    • Deal with customers and employees in a positive, proactive manner
    • Ability to network, technically present and develop unrecognized client potentials
    • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
    • Good time-manager with ability to multi-task, self-prioritize and meet deadlines
    • Work independently, self-motivated
    • Extremely organized with strong follow-up skills
    • Travel required, 40%-50% potential


    • 5 – 10 years similar work experience in sales or technical background related to utilities industry
    • Experience with Trimble GNSS mapping solutions and integration with Esri software and mobile applications.
    • Work experience and proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
    • Experience managing ArcGIS Online or Portal organizations to include publishing data for field use, web map and app creation a plus
    • Experience in the water industry a plus
    • Degree in Business or GIS related field a plus
