Director, Industrial Machinery Solutions.
The solution director is a senior, experienced global technical leader who applies industry knowledge to both contribute individually, and collaborate with global teams of business development and technical contributors (Presales, Services, and Software Engineers) to accomplish the following:
•Participate in shaping the future direction of our software by leading the definition and execution of initiatives focused on developing winning solutions for the Industrial Machinery industry, including: Industrial Machinery solutions that span the full Digital Industry Software portfolio
•Leading initiatives involving subject matter experts from the field and relevant business segments
•Leading efforts to depict, document, and communicate key Industrial Machinery industry processes
•Defining new practices that apply software-based solutions to industry processes
•Identifying and communicating unmet needs, with process context, and business value justification
•Working with selected external solution partners to extend Industrial Machinery solution capabilities
•Support the Industrial Machinery industry go-to-market through industry solution campaigns and field enablement in high priority areas, including:•Supporting the definition of Industrial Machinery specific solution messaging and value propositions
•Collaborate with Industry and Business Segment marketing teams to enable them to create compelling internally and externally facing campaign materials
•Sales and Customer Engagement Support
•Support industry solution go-to-market enablement for direct and channel sales organizations
•Engage with strategic customers to understand solution requirements
•Support sale of strategic Industrial Machinery solutions
•Support the global Industrial Machinery industry leader in defining the industry strategy and aligning relevant stakeholders in the company
Prerequisites & Essential Functions:
•Engineering degree, either Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, or equivalent required; Master’s degree in engineering or bachelor’s degree in engineering with MBA preferred.
•Detailed knowledge of Industrial Machinery industry business processes and practices, with excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
•Experience concentrated in the Machine tools, Packaging machines, Robotics, Industrial Components, Factory Automation and Systems industry, working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: Machine Design & Engineering, Control Systems Design, Automation Engineering, Machine Manufacturing, Machine Service & Support, Machine Lifecycle Management and/or Industrial IOT
•Practical experience with several of the following software technology categories corresponding to Siemens portfolio: MCAD, ECAD, CAE, PLM, ALM, Manufacturing Engineering, CAM, Manufacturing Operations Management (MES), Service Lifecycle Management, IOT
